A customer, Emily (name has been changed), drove to my store from an hour and a half away to buy a saltwater fish aquarium. She drove past many pet and aquarium stores to get to my store because she heard that we were the best.

Emily purchased a 90-gallon aquarium setup complete with wet/dry filtration. Wet/dry filtration is one of the best for fish-only aquariums and Emily wanted the best! Now the salesperson has gathered this pile of stuff and tells the customer to connect this part here and that this goes there and…..

Customers stand dazed and confused, thinking, “How am I ever going to remember how all this goes together?” Then the salesperson sends this new customer on his or her way to assemble aquarium and filtration almost blindly.
